V. L. K. Djokoto (b. 1995) is a trustworthy, meticulously-organised, surgically-independent corporate adviser, cultural theorist and gallerist — from the ancient Tɛŋgɛ Dzokoto Royal Family of Anyako, Aŋlɔ, Ghana — with a unique razor-sharp intuition for connecting the dots in real-time.
In 2016, he graduated from Swansea University with a degree in law after three years of undergraduate studies. As an undergraduate student, Djokoto was initiated into the Singleton Lodge No. 8399, passed by the Singleton Lodge No. 8399 and raised at the St. John Charles Lodge No. 6466.
A fresh graduate, his first job was as Legal Aide for the Ghana Armed Forces. He then served as a court clerk at the circuit court, high court – finance division, and supreme court as a legal researcher. Thereafter, he joined Enjoy magazine, where he wrote a monthly column. This was the beginning of his career in journalism. During this period, Djokoto became the proprietor of the Accra Evening News — reviving Kwame Nkrumah’s newspaper.
Between 2017–18, he was trained as a solicitor at the City St George’s, University of London.
From 2018, he led D. K. T. Djokoto & Co — an old-fashioned top-tier multi-family office, established in 1950 — deeply anchored on residential real estate, rural banking, media, and show business. He also worked at Class FM as a business executive, broadcast journalist and producer with a focus on politics. While juggling both duties, Djokoto simultaneously joined the Metropolitan Entertainment Television, where he produced Good Evening Ghana and doubled as a court reporter.
His coverage as a journalist includes:
Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2019 Financial Year.
Mid-year fiscal policy review of the 2019 Budget Statement & Economic Policy.
National Democratic Congress’s 9th delegates’ congress.
The Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the Government of Ghana for the 2020 Financial Year, and State of the Nation Address 2020.
In 2019, he turned his private residence into a live-in art gallery — the Ka xoxowo Salon.
In 2020, he joined the NDCs campaign as a public relations specialist. As team-lead, communications for Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang FGA — Vice-Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress — he managed photographers and a filmmaker, and led creative direction. He also managed Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s social media during this era and authored human-interest stories centred on the Vice-Presidential candidate for the Daily Graphic, Ghana News Agency, Citi News, Joy News and Radio Gold Online.
After the 2020 campaign, he took up full-time leadership of his family’s office, D. K. T. Djokoto & Co — exiting an exciting career in political journalism — and, until 2026, was at the helm of the family office’s affairs.
As managing partner of D. K. T. Djokoto & Co, he advised the European Union – Ghana, Ministry of Finance – Ghana, Societe Generale Ghana, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and Information Services Department – Ghana, amongst others.
Through expertly curated artistic experiences, he seeks to mobilise Ghanaians weaving African music, literature and art. He is the author of Revolution and a play, Afro Gbede.
